Chelsea had £101m Gareth Bale bid rejected
Chelsea had a £101 million bid for Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale rejected last week, reports the Daily Star.
Citing outlet El Chiringuito de Jugones, the report has suggested that Francois Gallardo, who is a FIFA agent, has insisted that the Bernabeu outfit rejected the bid immediately, despite ongoing uncertainty over the player's long term future in Madrid.

Bale, of course, has also been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea's Premier League rivals Manchester United of late, but it remains to be seen as to whether the Old Trafford outfit will make a swoop for the star's signature in the near future.
The same report has in fact suggested that the Red Devils have put aside as much as £120m to land the ex-Tottenham winger, but it appears that Real will only consider selling the Welshman if they land Borussia Dortmund ace Marco Reus in 2015.
If Reus does arrive in Spain in the New Year, United and Chelsea may well go head-to-head in attempt to break all records for Bale over the course of the next 12 months.
