Dale Steyn on Friday struck thrice in the second session as he dismissed both the overnight batsmen Murali Vijay and Cheteshwar Pujara and also removed Rohit Sharma early as India reached 255 for 4 in 89 overs. Virat Kohli who scored a brilliant century and 96 in the first Test is batting on 38 along with Rahane on 16.
Pujara was dismissed for 70 and Vijay narrowly missed his 4th Test century by 3 runs as he was dimissed for 97. Steyn also dismissed Rohit Sharma for 0. Steyn's bowling has literally opened the shutters for this Test match.
Earlier, the start of the second day’s play in the second and final cricket Test between India and South Africa was delayed due to rain in Durban on Friday.
Play was to start half and hour earlier than scheduled after a curtailed opening day on Thursday.
Only 61 of the regulation 90 overs were bowled on the first day with India reaching 181 for one.
The two teams had played out a thrilling draw in the opening Test.
